Sri Karmayogi -in daily messages says – GROWTH IS ASCENT, DEVELOPMENT IS DESCENT”.
He explains this as higher endowments expressing in the lower planes, thus raising the performance of the lower planes. This will be helpful in understanding the first two poises of Supermind –Comprehending and Apprehending. Visualizing (third poise) – is the force emanating from that – The Supramental force – supporting evolution of forms.
In this context Sri Karmayogi says:
Consecration is Growth – We rising to Mother.
Surrender is Development – Mother coming to us. (Mother expressing Herself in everything we do).
Now we are going to try to find a definition which can fit all instances, all ascent and descent. It can be defined as any moment where the receptivity will be equal in quality and quantity to the Force which wants to manifest in us. It is a perfect equilibrium between what comes from above and what answers from below, and when the two meet, that is the Realisation —a constant progress for evolution.
When we are absolutely sincere, you make a constant effort to live in line with the highest ideal we have. Or on the highest truth we know, or highest conciseness we have – or highest Diven we know- say Mother. At every moment, in all that we think, all that we feel and all that we do, we try do as perfectly as possible, as completely as possible, to put ourselves in harmony with the highest ideal or truth. That means we have reached our true sincerity. That means we do not act from egoistic motives or for personal reasons, we act guided by your inner truth.
With respect to above statements, I tried to see in which level I am – based on life response I got.
For all practical purpose I have marked planes in my life as- survival, growth, development, and evolution.
• Even after attaining and achieving so many things -if I have to still concentrate, organize and function as per norms of the society it is still survival plane.
• If my organization comes out of survival and moves towards higher goal or vision it is intended for -It is growth -the structure remaining the same, but expansion in quantity.
• If my organization goes beyond this and social minds attached to it, coming out of the present mode of living based on opinions and prejudices to create a higher level of culture and values it is development.
• If all planes above forms as personality of the organization or of myself -not needing to go back to the previous stage- it is evolution-representing the collective law of the “Spirit”.
From Sri Karmayogi’s various articles it can be said as:
At first level internet offers all physical facts necessary to develop subtle knowledge. In next stage it dissolves the ossified separation of individually accumulated information and experience-based knowledge. After that it can be an instrument of subtle knowledge so that it can give even subtle responses- rather subtle Life Responses. Internet helps in evolution of human by serving as a tool that will make the part the whole-by bringing the many ends of the society together and helping the society to evolve as a WHOLE.
