Now coming to the theory of karma. Spiritually the Cosmos is created by the Force that is issued out of Consciousness. The Force in the form of various energies accumulates the cause of its movements i.e., our deeds and its effects because every move has to have opposite and corresponding reaction. As the Consciousness is progress towards Truth the result will always is, to take the force to the Truth in the form of life response. When it takes to the truth which we do not like, we feel that we are suffering. This is called as cause and effect or karma. Here it can be noted that only the force that is issued out of Consciousness collects or accumulates the cause and effect and not the Consciousness itself.
The outlets of the karma are form, traits, habits etc., as all these are in time. Because karma needs a past to govern the future. But Consciousness emanates from the Being which is the Spirit. Spirit is not governed by karma as it is Timeless. When we rely on Mother and let Mother act through any one of Her principles or aspects, our Being is worked by self-determining force where no karma can be accumulated and so no effect on future. Because karma is choice less. It can lead only to Truth. As Mother’s ways are truth no karma is generated. This can be seen in life. As long as we tread Mother’s path there will be no problem at all. We get problems only when we revert to our own ways under some egoistic justification.
For example Rama’s foot relieved Akalya of her past sin, her prayer being past consecration which is one of the Mother’s principles. We say prayers are answered which indirectly means that we are trying to overcome karma by invoking some superpowers. It changes the law of karma a little, to pass benefits to us. Acting directly from superpower within our Being i.e., Spirit is over coming karma. In short remembering Mother in every act by way of Her principle and aspects -is abolition of karma.
Sri Karmayogi gives some solutions for all those sufferings -if we still believe on Karma and its causes and effects:
Offering the Karma: If the devotee knows now that his past actions have led to the present situation, he should offer to Mother the original acts so as to dissolve the karma at its roots. A father whose son had run away from home acknowledged that in his youth he had run away from home as a truant and gave lot of suffering to his parents. His offering of his earlier actions now to Mother brought his son back to him exactly at the moment when his mind repented.
Complete Consecration: Narrating to Mother in prayer or in imagination the sequence of events that led to the suffering and through which swabhava of you brought it in. If it is done without reactions of mind that what you have done is correct, after a few sittings the knot of the suffering will be broken. One significance of this method is all the harassing life events that led to the creation of this problem, once consecrated, will not recur in the life of the devotee anymore.
Gratitude: If one who is beset with sufferings puts aside the problem itself and takes up other bright aspects of life and feels an intensely real Gratitude to Mother for each of them, before the list is fully covered, the sufferings will be liquidated.
