Discovering the Psychic Being and making it to come out is the foremost task a devotee has to do. The simplest way Sri Karmayogi suggests is to come out all forms of ego. I other words this si to follow to follow the values that Mother likes. Though it looks easy – in practical it is very difficult as definition of ego is very wide ranging from – simple thinking – to all desires and expectations, prejudice, opinions and all hose we think as our wisdom.
By ging through Sri Karmayogi’s many articles – I found that first finding all in us – what we think as bad, weakness, against progress in life, knowledge, skill, capacity and trying to change that. This is called as evolving bad to good and good to better and then the best of personality. Coming out of anything that inhibits our progress in consciousness is coming out of falsehood. Anything that helps coming out of false hood is coming out of all attributes of ego. Coming out of ego is awakening the Psychic – is the logic I found.
Suppose a devotee is very stringent in money matters – even to his family members – to the point of being called as stingy fellow, if he understands the meaningless of such attitude and understands that money has to be spent for what is necessary to certain extent he is coming out of his prejudice, opinions forms of ego. Means he has overcome one area of his weakness that hindered progress n life or in family such as harmony.
As this is a evolution towards generosity or harmony or other man point of view – to some extent he has brought the values that Mother likes, in other words he has awakened one form of Psychic to forefront. If he understands the principles of the values he followed and keeps up his aspiration for that he is making the Psychic to take up his life.
Similarly in work the incapacity, lack of skill, knowledge or temperament can be attributed to lethargies, procrastination, laziness etc., which are forms of falsehood. If we take opposite of these false hoods it means that we are travelling towards forms of truth or values that Mother likes – which means that Psychic is emerging out.
Sri Karmayogi in many articles advice to go for at least a small change in consciousness to increase the receptivity. He compares this to a parabolic curve in statistics – where higher points are connected for a decision making where lower points have no influence.
It is similar to that. Changing any one weak point to strength or increasing any one positive point to next higher level much reduces the impact the other weak points.
As a token act if we can try these two areas- Perfection and Punctuality.
More importance is given to these two because, these are the two areas which includes many values -so that Psychic is awaken with little effort. As increasing perfection means, increasing skills, capacity, knowledge, discrimination, fullest utility, shortest time and the list is endless. Similarly, punctuality shows that we care for others, keep commitment, acknowledge other’s need (work, customers, product, relationship, meeting deadlines, keeping promise etc.,) – these two has many higher values such as expansiveness, other man point of view, coming out of selfishness etc., So by following these two we are bringing in more values that awakens the Psychic .
