When we think of disharmony that prevents Mother from acting fully on us-we have to think of how harmonious we are with ourselves. Sri Karmayogi says – it is from the swabhava-so we have to work with the grain-to be termed it as evolution for which Mother’s Grace responds fully.

Swabhava is characterised by organized of nature as caution, alertness, patience, responsibility, compassion, etc. Character is based on swabhava, organization of energies that have experiences marked by the opposites of strength or weakness, fear or courage, skill or unskilled enduring or not, formed, or informed. The harmony is based on how harmoniously we express swabhava in our character.

For example, the impatience in swabhava expressed in character as patience due to past experience in similar situation is disharmony in ourselves which results as frustration or irritation resulting in the egoistic decision. On the other hand, swabhava of perfection expressed in character as skill-is resulting in efficiency-giving harmony to the atmosphere and circumstances resulting in many decisions for further progress.

We can understand this when we analyse our swabhava- expressed as character in house and complete change over character we express in work spot. The level or results shows our disharmony with ourselves and how we pretend to hide our swabhava to show the higher level that is required in a given situation. All decision will be to protect that identity, which is ego -even a slight touch on any of the inability will raise the disharmony-moving away the incoming Grace. Let us consider one example of a person who is completely lazy, irresponsible, and selfish in swabhava -expressing skill in work due to pressure of life will always create a disharmony-by shameless justification and offensive remarks, postponing, procrastination etc. so grace has the limitation on acing in him-waiting him to get the realisation that work only is way for prosperity-which is change in the grain of the swabhava. As this is one aspect of the Spirit-he starts getting the full results of the Grace waiting to give to him.

The process is same for all:

• Mental realisation that our swabhava is our barrier for evolution in personality and consciousness-making us to take egoistic decisions.
• Vital inspiration to overcome that to receive fully what Mother gives.
• Physically trying and doing the very opposite to our present swabhava- that is against Mother’s principles.
