In daily messages Sri Karmayogi says:
“Sleep is the rest of energy less state”.
When I heard that Sri Karmayogi many a days works almost 20 hours a day or many of writers and a former chief minister works for 20 hours – writing and commenting on very topic in the world, with the updates of latest in everything – I developed a passion to do so and ready to work like that. I planned and organized my timings too. But never I can complete even reading of Sri Karmayogi’s all articles and books.
What prevent me is tiredness in afternoon which needs a one-hour nap to refresh and deep sleep from 10.30 pm till I wake up at 5.30 am.
Sri Karmayogi says, when we have passion we get all the energies, sighting the energy of children when they play their favourite games, even in hot sun. On the higher side Sri Aurobindo tells us that all forms are forms of energy and we are a physical embodiment of an infinite universal force.
I think I have enough, passion, emotion, and aspiration to do all, yet often I feel that I have no more energy left in me and need to rest or sleep. Then what about Sri Karmayogi saying that “Aspiration is universal force for universal life with abundant energy for accomplishment?”. Why cannot I get that universal force to stretch myself for that extra mile?
The reason that I do not get enough energy to accomplish at higher levels and in higher consciousness is that:
Of course we are Sachidananda, and we have the infinite energy of the universal. But I have locked it up in so many forms that are no longer alive or fresh. All my opinions, attitudes, habits and character traits are packed with this infinite energy that is bound tightly into a fixed form, so it cannot escape or express – the highest form is the psychological trait that I have to sleep at least eight hours a day to be healthy.
While explaining Her points on Psychic Education – the point in which She says to consecrate all our acts- she suggests to consecrate not only our future course of action but also our past actions, our attitudes, our opinions, habits related to that so that the Divine will not have any barrier to act.
Our aspiration to Divine should reflect in consecration – we should take all of these forms and barriers, put them into the bonfire of our aspiration, and liberate the conscious energy that is locked up within them.
In every act, even in consecrated act, there are so many locks like -our sense of superiority, self-importance, status, prestige, self-satisfaction, pride, competence, feeling of importance etc., that we have placed on the doors of our being to prevent the infinite life energy from emerging.
True consecration releases all the Infinite energy, Divine energy- that is not possible for a ordinary human. The aim of the devotee is to release the spirit in life which is locked up in our attitudes and opinions. The same thing is true of our negative attitudes—negative egoism—of self-doubt, inferiority, worthlessness and incompetence, fear, ill will, jealously etc,
No ordinary people request extra energy. Those only have aspiration to accomplish search for energy. All our positive egoism and negative egoism locks those energies. But aspiration wants to release the energy, when it cannot break the forms, life constantly comes and knocks against us to help us break them.
