Sri Karmayogi inefficiency and clumsiness occurs when lower trying to do the higher job, based on higher principle. For example, a compounder may have all the knowledge, but he cannot do everything that a doctor does. Mother’s principles are also the same. If we take non-initiative -as like Sri Karmayogi – we end up idling, without progress -as it happened for few of devotees. Few devotees refused even offer of capital and office space to work telling that it is human initiative.

So till we know the boundaries of our spiritual growth and know some spiritual attributes like inner voice, intuition, what is Mothers calling, which is life’s initiative etc. and till we understand and experience all those, we have to go by thumb rules and analogies Sri Karmayogi gives for progress and prosperity.

The thumb rules are:

• Man is constantly taking initiative from all parts of his being as a way of existing. Divine begins when he gives up all his initiatives. At this point if we tell him to keep quiet it is a monumental impossibility. The energy raised for any initiative cannot be suspended unless one goes back to the ONE. So, the direction must be changed for the energy towards Transformation. Those initiatives can now be called as aspiration instead of ambition.
• By any initiative we move million points in all our personality, character, attitude, vital, mental, physical etc., When we make those movements so that all those are awake to wait upon the initiative of the Divine touches-then it is initiative for Divine.
• We initiate things that we think gives us joy. A right compromise for our initiative will be to initiate what will give joy to Mother.
• Not taking initiative is more difficult that consecration. The greatest accomplishment needs the greatest comprehension of that accomplishment. Understanding the full magnitude of the things we want to accomplish and full magnitude of the things we have to give for that innerly- before initiation- will let the world come to us.
• So, for Mother devotees, Initiative should be to seek life expressing the Spirit, Expressing Mother and should not seek Mother to enrich our life, irrespective of whether it gives miraculous results, joy, happiness etc., or not.

Imagine a girl loves a boy. In our society most of the girl will not take initiative to express her love. But instead, what she does is: She internally aspire that her love towards the boy be materialized, how nice it will be to live with him, all that she is ready to give for him, knowing what he like and dislikes to say few. Also she may do all that attracts the boy towards her- like, displaying best of cleanliness, organizing things, best of dressing sense, soft voice, understanding, expansiveness, best of behaviour and attitude etc, not taking initiative to express – but given all good which she might not have exhibited so far keeping eye on his signal. This can be called as shift-a first step of transformation for the sake of higher aspiration-that attracts what we aspired.

Now I am giving my experience. When I reached earning Rs. 1.00 lakh a month in April 2007, as a next step I want to resign and start my own venture. When I wrote this to Sri Karmayogi, He said wait, learn more, let life take the initiative. I understood the statement a bit and started knowing other departments too like production, logistics, HR, Finance, statutory standards, and compliances etc. It was long frustrating wait, but I just kept the promise that I will not resign on my own. In June 2008 suddenly a problem cropped up with management and they asked for my resignation. I resigned but completely at dark on what to do next as it happened suddenly. But I kept my aspiration of starting my own venture – though good offers came based on salary structure, I refused all those. After fifteen days or so a competitor came and offered his product for distribution without any caution deposit or bank guarantee.

I think, this to some extent will give an idea on inner initiative. When we experience the differences in mental and emotions -it is easier to apply in other areas life. Over a period you will know what inner voice is, intuition, inner initiative, calling of the Divine, life initiative etc. Follow, follow, follow, practice, practice, practice…is the only rule to understand Mother’s ways. Nobody can explain fully.
