The purpose of “Thy will” is evolution. At first level it is shifting to next plane of consciousness. For example, for a person who don’t care about others-shifting to other man point of view is going to next plane of higher consciousness. It is good “Guna” but after certain stage we have lave to give up good guna also for higher consciousness. Our part is limited to our acts. Our time is limited to our life in this body and our space is confined to where we live. We always have a choice – to choose the truth or aspects of the truth -it is leaving the part of the good for whole good. Till then life repeats so that we turn to that truth. We call that as knowledge. Mostly we are unaware of the acts repeating in one form or another. Occasionally it strikes us in our life, especially the second or third time. Through-out my life I have got rewards where I have taken a higher level of work, knowledge, understanding or consciousness. For example, till the age of 37, my qualification was HSC and proudly said that it is waste to study. Life repeated so many things several times to make me conclude that education is a necessity-and when I took that path-I got master’s in management –and the life has returned all that I have lost so far.

Sri Aurobindo says it is evolving at the tether ends of our personality and temperament. That evolution is not happening up there or out there, but rather it is happening within each of us-by shattering all, that is based on the ego. The spirit is evolving precisely at the points where we feel challenged and not totally in control of ourselves, things not happening as per our wish or as per our plan, points at which somebody says something unpleasant or does not acknowledge us as we would wish. we have to understand that it is the Divine coming to us through that person / situation to give higher consciousness, seeking and acquiring an experience and mastery which we do not possess. That is the concentrated point at which evolution occurs. As we do not know our right, our privileges, our potentials we are also not aware of our soul. So life acts in several fashions to disclose the rights, privileges, possibilities and potentials.

Sri Karmayogi says, ‘life, by these means, ever widens concentric circles of higher consciousness open up, each making possible progress to the next higher level. If the discipline is maintained, eventually the Presence behind our personality actively takes control of the work, bringing higher realizations, siddhis, to the sadhak. Our growth, instead of being an alternate series of spurts and stabilizations, becomes a rapid movement from joy to greater joy”.

CONCLUSION: Life is trying to give constant awareness of our low consciousness by giving constant pressure thereby generating constant aspiration / prayer for the Divine that leads to higher consciousness permanently.
